This site was established in 2015 to cast some words onto the stream. Buttermilk Flat was the long-ago name of an actual place near where I grew up. A broad gypsum sand flat, the color of buttermilk, along a certain river. On this  Buttermilk Flat we may find works of fiction, essays, commentary, random observations. We’ll see what the river dredges up.
